Description
Khus attar has a fragrance that is best described as sweet, deep, woody, earthy, smoky, amber and balsam. The best quality Khus oil is processed from 18 to 24 months old vetiver plant roots through hydro/ hydro-steam traditional distillation method. With superior oil obtained from cultivated variety, it offers a fragrance that evokes both warmth & compassion. From Khus oil, its attar is made using pure natural Indian sandalwood base oil.
Uses
Khus is also known as ‘Cool Breeze’ and "Oil of Tranquility", as it is used to keep houses cool since ancient times. With a cooling and relaxing fragrance, Khus attar establishes harmony between body and mind and balances Kapha and Pitta. It has natural refrigeration properties and is used as perfume to cool the body. Further, it has various aromatherapy based applications.
Safety/ Precautions
It is purely non-toxic, non-irritant and absolutely safe to use on skin but pregnant women and nursing mothers should get medical advice before using it. Direct application on eyes must be avoided.
